Oregano

Oregano Origin: Greece, Italy, Turkey, Egypt
Description: Oregano has dime-sized, often fuzzy, soft green leaves with an unmistakable pungent, robust fragrance.
Applications:

Oregano is often used in tomato sauces, fried vegetables and grilled meat. Together with basil, it contributes much to the distinctive character of many Italian dishes. It is also used in beans, thick soups, stews, casseroles, stuffing, and sauces and is popular in Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisines.  Try it with egg or cheese based foods or added to lamb, pork, and beef main dishes. Unlike many other spices, oregano actually grows stronger when it is dried.
