Spicy Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:
1 16oz can chopped tomatoes
1 Cup chicken stock
1 Cup Milk
Olive oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
1 tsp crushed red pepper
½ red bell pepper, diced
½ Cup vodka or tequila
½ cup fresh basil, shredded
Directions:
- Heat olive oil in a deep skillet
- Briefly sauté garlic and crushed red pepper. Heat through but don’t let garlic brown.
- Add tomatoes and red bell pepper to the skillet and allow to heat for about 2 minutes
- Season with salt and freshly ground pepper
- Add chicken stock and milk Allow skillet to lightly simmer for about 20 minutes (add more milk if mixture grows thick or starts to stick)
- Add vodka or tequila. Simmer five more minutes.
- Stir in basil.
- Toss with favorite pasta.
